An activity to discover

Bikejoring is a pulling sport or rather traction sport like skijoring and canicross where the dog or harnessed dog team must pull and run ahead of a cyclist. This relatively new sport was arguably created to keep skijoring teams in good shape during the warmer months!

GUIDES CANINS offers organized outings to introduce you to the sport, to motivate you to practice the sport in a gang, and to, from time to time, offer you mini-clinics on warm-ups and stretching, training, conditioning and performance programs.

Take note

The outings take place rain or shine (when it is not too hot for the dogs!) on our trails at our training center at 1200A Montée Poirier in Saint-Lazare. You are welcome to participate in all the outings or just a few, we will announce news of the outings on our Facebook group.

The cost of outings is $6.96 + tx, payable at the reception upon arrival.  This cost includes access to the trails, a short introduction to the sport (for the first outings) and the outing itself. You do not need to reserve your place or confirm your attendance.

You must plan to arrive before to fill out the form and pay the access rights, to rent or buy the equipment or if you need instructions or advice on practicing sports.

To practice the sport, you will need the basic equipment including a well-fitting harness, a bungee and a bicycle.

If you are not already equipped, we have the necessary equipment for sale on site (except for the bikes). It will cost approximately $150 to equip your team.

You can also rent the equipment if you want to try before you buy. Equipment rental is $6.96+ tx per outing. This $6.96+ tx will be applied as a credit if you decide to purchase the equipment.
