Better know as “Elliott ‘tite Puce Lamotte, bring your bacon over here”, the Lamotte part comes from the fact that he is my first male dog intact…seeing as he had the “motte” at his behind he inherited the name, even after being neutered! It’s almost a shame he didn’t get to use his “family jewels”, he was already showing promise: at seven months he was already hitting on his mother!
Third Australian “burger” of our family of four, Elliott was born an only child (dog).
Elliott has only one interest at heart from morning ‘til night: the search for food at ANY cost. No consequence is high enough to stop him from putting food in his mouth and the shear joy of licking his chops afterwards. Hence Elliott is on a permanent diet seeing as he has his winter weight all year long!
When skijoring Elliott is a real machine. Although his orientation skills leave a lot to be desired. His directions have nothing to do with my directions when going left or right but his direction has everything to do with finding the shortest distance back to the truck and eventually leading to the sofa.
Elliott does agility despite himself because his owner is just crazy about it. However if food did not exist in this sport, my boy would be incapable of practicing this sport. He is never shy to stop between two jumps to scratch himself or miss the opportunity of knocking down a bar at 10 inches or better still, practicing his limbo skills under the 22 inch bar. He totally refuses to perform if he does not have a crowd to please. As much as he is a bone head in agility class he has two energizer batteries up his behind in competition.
Lazy of the worst kind, my boy is very affectionate and he often reminds me of that fact by presenting his bum to be scratched, so at least I can do something constructive with my finger nails…Elliott adores sleeping with me in my bed and awaits patiently every night to get the official invitation to climb the ladder and join me in my bunk bed.
Elliott and I continuously fight to see which one of us will get the better spot on the sofa! My darling boy always assures himself to be the first and last to get my affection.
Unique, he is quite a number!
