Having looked for over two years for the perfect canine breed for me (without realizing that I had been working with it for more than seven years), I finally chose the Vizsla, with its incredible charm and multiple talents. Olive entered my life on May 31, 2010, my gift from me to me, for successfully completing four years of studying for my Animal Health Technician Diploma. Her arrival represents the start of our new life together as we forge a special relationship confronted by many challenges. Olive is my first registered pure bred and so we embark adventurously on projects for conformation, agility, obedience, frisbee, ski-joring, flyball and hunting. Olive was chosen meticulously for her breeding line of champions in conformation, obedience, hunting, and, as her mother before her, will hopefully become mother of baby Vizslas. If all goes well, in 2012, Olive may produce her first litter of Vizslas registered under the name of Vizslas Kihivas Kennels, owned by Julie Sansregret and co-owner of Olive- otherwise known as her Fairy Godmother. In the meantime, each day is a new adventure in Olive's life. She adores stealing socks she finds around the house, walking in the forest with her canine friends, sleeping under blankets, coming to work with me, and particularly meeting people- as long as they say "hello!" The only thing she detests is Maurice, my hamster, who frightens her terribly.
