Shaka

Shaka, CCGC
Rhodesian Ridgeback
February 1, 1998 - May 30, 2007
Loved by Katherine Bonnot, Daniel, Mahau and Louca

Shaka is an impressive dog with a personality to match. He will not hesitate to ignore you if you raise your voice. On the other hand, he loves to play the clown and make everyone laugh. One could even say he enjoys showing off, especially if there is food around! His ancestors took part in African safaris, and his hunting instincts resurface when he’s stalking his favourite prey, the once rare but now abundant “Squeaky toy.” He enjoys disembowelling them and proudly displays their skeletons around him! Not a fan of being cold, Shaka can often be found grilling in front of a fire or under warm blankets. Snow and rain are his enemies. Believe it or not, he actually would rather hide than to go for a walk in cold conditions! When he wants to play he will play with anyone, dog or human, and sometimes is almost too sociable!! But beware, he still remains a very independent dog.
