In Roman mythology, the goddess Vesta protected hearth, home and family. Vesta the dog sure lived up to her name. In fact, her convincing bark kept many from crossing the threshold! Vesta enjoyed all kinds of canine activities, including flyball, agility, obedience, skijoring and weight pulling. She was driven by her desire to please, which in turn made her successful in every sport she tried. She was famous for her “Kamikaze kisses,” happily planting a big wet one on her unsuspecting victims. Her golden years were difficult due to her fragile health. She leaves behind a young family who will miss her terribly, but who will always have wonderful memories of the pal who helped introduce them to the fascinating world of dog training and dog sports.
